Amanda Leong from the Claims Department Clinched May Day Model Worker Award

Singapore, 27 May 2009 – MSIG has received yet another accolade, this time in the form of Amanda Leong from the Claims department, who has been conferred the May Day Model Worker Award 2009 from the National Trades Union Congress.    

This award, which is held annually to recognize and reward outstanding workers for their contributions in the Singapore workforce, has different themes each year. The theme this year, “Upturn the Downturn”, highlights how some of the workers are coping successfully with the economic recession.

Amanda, who has received countless compliments from both clients and business partners for her exemplary standards of customer service in her 19 years with MSIG, was recognized under the category of Individual Partnership: Adaptable Worker. 

"I'm very surprised to win this award and would like to take this opportunity to thank my boss and fellow colleagues for their support and guidance," says Amanda who attributed her award to MSIG's organised work procedures and supportive colleagues.
