Siyo Jun Jie

Armed with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, Jun Jie often goes out of his way to ensure the projects he is involved in run smoothly. 

As a Senior Executive with the Claims Services team, Jun Jie joined MSIG in 2014 with no prior knowledge or experience in insurance and claims. Over time, Jun Jie progressed beyond the core expanse of his claims role to becoming a business analyst, where he identifies opportunities to improve the department's operational efficiency. 

"Claims is not all about paperwork and negotiations. It also involves being a claims tech specialist." 

Jun Jie's outgoing personality makes him the perfect fit for managing the various digital projects and initiatives. Often, these projects require more than just a deep understanding of the processes. It also calls for an acute sensitivity in handling different stakeholders. 

"Everyone is very passionate about their work, which makes managing their expectations and balancing their various needs a challenge. It takes a bit of work to explain why a certain solution is not feasible and to persuade them to try an alternative fix." 

"Every step forward is a win, just like when we successfully rolled out our FAST payment option for claims. It was a milestone achieved in collaboration with the different stakeholders in providing instantaneous payment facilities for MSIG's customers," he added with pride. 

On top of his current work, Jun Jie is a mentor to his younger colleagues. 

His sincere commitment towards both internal and external customers won him the MSIG Shine Award in 2019. The award recognises exemplary staff who have embodied our core values in their daily work.
