MSIG Singapore partners with Thriwe to transform travel experience

MSIG Insurance (“MSIG”) has today announced its tie-up with Thriwe Consulting Private Limited (“Thriwe”) to enhance travel insurance offerings with an exclusive benefits package. This partnership sets a new benchmark in the travel insurance industry by seamlessly merging comprehensive travel protection with luxury lifestyle perks.
Through this collaboration, Thriwe will offer MSIG’s travel policyholders exclusive, high-value benefits that are specially curated for seasonal travel insurance promotions. These tailored packages are available to customers purchasing the selected single-trip and annual travel insurance plans for departures from Singapore.

For the annual travel plan policyholders, the package includes access to international airport lounges at major airports globally for up to four visits per year, along with a special discount on cab services and free transport vouchers annually. MSIG’s travel policyholders will enjoy premium amenities from free Wi-Fi to refreshments and comfortable seating at over 100 airport lounges worldwide.

MSIG Insurance strengthens its financial lines with new business head

In a strategic move to strengthen its financial lines capabilities to meet the growing needs of clients in Asia, MSIG has recently appointed Andrew Taylor as Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Lines for Singapore and Hong Kong, a new title created for the role.
Based in Singapore while collaborating with the markets, Taylor has a dual reporting line to Mack Eng, CEO of MSIG Singapore, and Philip Kent, CEO of MSIG Hong Kong. He is responsible for the general insurer’s profitable growth of the business within the region including the growth markets, leveraging on MSIG’s established distribution channels.
In a joint statement, Eng and Kent express: “Financial lines is an increasingly important class of business in MSIG. With Andrew’s expertise, track record and leadership, we will be able to enhance our product offerings and create value for our clients in financial lines insurance. This is pertinent as we strive to remain the insurer of choice.”
Taylor has over 20 years of international experience in the general insurance industry, spanning London, Australia and across Asia, where he is recognized as a pioneer in the Cyber Insurance space. Besides Cyber Insurance, the veteran also specialises in Professional Indemnity and Technology E&O classes within the Financial Lines.
Having joined MSIG recently, Taylor has been involved in the hustle and grind of the business with great excitement for the future ahead.
